What’s Love Got to Do with It? highlights the positives and some of the downsides of arranged marriage. After watching the film, would you prefer to avoid the rigamarole of dating and jump to an arranged marriage or dive into the dating app scene? Are there any similarities between the two?

This film is a wonderful example of the type of rom-com that Hollywood seems to have stopped making. A mid-budget, feel-good, will they/won’t they romance with a solid cast of supporting characters that populate a realistic world. Strong Nora Ephron vibes, but with a modern twist.
I married my husband after dating for two weeks. We have been together for 52 years. We had both divorced before this. I adored that you could divorce so easily with just a few words. Saves fights, lawyer fees, etc.. I have friends who were married by arrangement. They are all happily married. I think it is wonderful that people can choose either way. Good movie.
After watching the movie honestly i feel like I would rather go into the dating scene and spend time getting to know the person rather than jumping into an arranged marriage and marrying somebody that my parents want me to marry. That would lead to a lifelong full of unhappiness and miserable at the same time. I thought this movie was very interesting and it taught me a lot of good lessons.
