Who Is Eligible to Participate: This sweepstake is open to all libraries (“you”) who (i) participate in Kanopy’s survey by February 16, 2022, and (ii) have reached the age of majority in their state or country of residence at the time of entry. Employees, agents, and representatives of Kanopy, and those of Kanopy’s contractors and service providers directly associated with these sweepstakes, as well as members of their immediate families and/or households, are NOT eligible to enter or win these sweepstakes.
When to Enter: The entry period of this sweepstakes begins at 12:00 am (Pacific Standard Time) on January 19, 2022, and ends at 11:59 pm (Pacific Standard Time) on February 16, 2022 (the “Entry Period”). All entries must be received within the Entry Period or will be deemed void. A Kanopy-designated computer shall be the official time-keeping device for this sweepstakes. It is entirely each participant’s responsibility to observe time zone differences.
How to Enter: To enter this sweepstake, please complete the full survey at go.kanopy.com/2nd-streaming-survey-edu or email josh.garcia@kanopy.com your full name, your library, and work email address. Participation in the survey is optional and is not a condition of entry. Those who choose not to participate in the survey will have an equal chance of winning as those who participate in the survey. However, we encourage you to participate in the survey as your feedback is important to us and will help us improve our products and services.
LIMIT ONE (1) ENTRY PER PERSON. Multiple entries made by the same person using different names, addresses, or email accounts, or generated by script, macro, or other automated means, will be deemed void and automatically be disqualified. Kanopy expressly reserves the right to disqualify any entries which it believes in good faith are generated by an automated program or via scripts or are duplicate entries by the same entrant.
Winner Selection and Prize: On February 23, 2022, (1) winner will be selected by Kanopy based on a random drawing from all eligible entries received during the Entry Period. The drawing will take place at a Kanopy representative’s remote office in San Francisco, CA. The winner will receive a $1,000 credit that may be used to purchase Kanopy video titles with unlimited access over three years without any hosting fees. Free access will be terminated after the three-year period.
Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. The Prize is not transferable and cannot be redeemed or exchanged for cash.
Winner Notification; Delivery of Prize: The selected winner will be notified via email by Kanopy on or around February 23, 2022. The winner will have five (5) days to claim the Prize via return email. If a winner cannot be reached within two weeks of the first attempt of notification, the opportunity to win the $1000 Kanopy video credit will be forfeited and an alternate winner will be selected from the remaining eligible entries received. The winner will be required to sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility and Release Form before receiving the Prize. Subject to the winner’s full compliance with these Official Rules, the Prize will be sent to the winner’s email within 14 days after Kanopy’s receipt and verification of all requested documentation from the winner.
The winner is solely responsible for all applicable taxes based on his/her receipt of the Prize.
Miscellaneous: By entering this sweepstake, you acknowledge and agree that Kanopy may use your contact information (as provided by you on the entry form) in accordance with its privacy policy at kanopy.com/privacy.
This survey is voluntary. If you or your institution elect to participate in this surveyby providing or making available to Kanopy suggestions, comments, ideas, improvements or other feedback relating to Kanopy’s services or offerings, Kanopy agrees to keep all responses confidential and will not make any identifiable information collected through this survey available to third parties. Kanopy shall have the right to otherwise freely use the information gathered through this survey as Kanopy sees fit, without credit or compensation given to survey participants.

Kanopy is not responsible for any lost, late, damaged, destroyed, or for any faulty electronic data transmission, equipment failure, or other communication problems occurring in connection with participation in these sweepstakes.
These Official Rules shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California U.S.A. (without giving effect to the conflicts of law provisions thereof). Any dispute between you (the entrant) and Kanopy arising out of or related to this sweepstake or these Official Rules shall be finally resolved by binding arbitration conducted in accordance with the Commercial Arbitration Rules and the Supplementary Procedures for Consumer-Related Disputes of the American Arbitration Association. The arbitration shall be conducted before a single arbitrator and shall be held in a mutually agreed upon location in person, by telephone, or by means of online video conferencing. The arbitrator is bound by these Official Rules. All issues are for the arbitrator to decide. The arbitrator’s award shall be final and binding and may be entered as a judgment in any court of competent jurisdiction. YOU (THE ENTRANT) AND KANOPY EACH AGREE THAT ANY DISPUTE RESOLUTION PROCEEDING SHALL BE CONDUCTED ONLY ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS AND NOT IN A CLASS, CONSOLIDATED OR REPRESENTATIVE ACTION. IF FOR ANY REASON A CLAIM PROCEEDS IN COURT RATHER THAN IN ARBITRATION, YOU (THE ENTRANT) AND SPONSOR EACH WAIVE ANY RIGHT TO A JURY TRIAL.
